Cycling

  • What bikes do you rent?
We rent KONA Dew hybrid bikes, built for comfort, stability, and adventure. They handle both gravel tracks and paved roads perfectly.
  • Do I need to bring my own helmet or gear?
No – we provide helmets. We recommend that you bring comfortable cycling clothes, rain gear, and a reusable water bottle.
  • Is the cycling suitable for beginners?
Yes, we design routes for a moderate activity level. The terrain includes quiet gravel roads, gentle forest paths, and country lanes. A basic level of cycling fitness helps, but it’s very accessible.
  • How long are the biking routes?
We offer various routes—some are short, scenic loops of around 20–40 km, while others are full-day rides (70+ km). You decide the ride that suits you best.
  • Do you provide route maps?
Yes, we give you carefully planned digital route maps that highlight gravel roads, forest tracks, lakesides, scenic viewpoints, and local heritage sites.
  • Are the bike routes guided or self-guided?

    Both options are available:

    • Guided tours: Join one of our guided gravel adventures with experienced local guides.

    • Self-guided tours: Rent a bike, take your map, and explore Småland at your own pace.

  • Do you offer support / backup during rides?
Yes, during guided tours we provide a support vehicle for emergency assistance.
  • Where do the cycling adventures start and finish?
Most rides start and finish at Agundaborg camp & paddle. For some multi-day tours, we pick up or drop off gear in nearby towns (depending on the package).
  • Can I bring my own bike?
Absolutely. If you bring your own bike, we can help with safe storage, air pumps etc. as needed.
  • When is the best season for cycling in Småland?
The best season for gravel biking is late spring through early autumn (May–September) when the roads are dry and the forest is at its most beautiful.
  • What if the weather is bad?
Our rides run in most weather. If conditions are dangerous (e.g., storm), we may postpone or adjust the route. We provide rain gear advice and local alternatives if needed.
