Eating out

There are many restaurants in the area. Below we have mentioned some of our favourites:

Muff (34 km) is an inspirational cultural meetingplace with fantastic vegetarian and vegan food all prepared on site. Well worth a visit!

Gästgivaregården (20 km) is a very nice restaurant in the centre of Ljungby where you can eat a traditional Swedish lunch.

Sussies Cafe in Vittaryd (38 km). A lovely countryside cafe with a beautiful outside area. Nice light lunch and great swedish fika.

At Linneus Råshult  the garden café offers organic, locally grown food during the summer months. You can enjoy the fantastic vegetarian buffet or simply a coffee with a nice piece of cake under the apple trees outside overlooking the local history museum.

Fika

It is a Swedish tradition to have ’fika’, meaning coffee with something sweet. Close to AGUNDABORG you can find a fika place connected to the lanthandel in Agunnaryd (400 m). Here you can buy ice cream during the summer and they have kanelbullar and other typical Swedish cakes. Coffee is on the house!

Close by Älmhult, in a sweet little village called Loshult, you can taste amazing kanelbullar and buy great bread at Loshults Handelsbod Cafe & Bageri (39 km)

Sussies Cafe in Vittaryd (38 km). A lovely countryside cafe with a beautiful outside area. Nice light lunch and great swedish fika.
